Delegation from ITP Indonesia linking up with S2BMRC

A distinguished delegation of the notable Institut Teknologi Padang (ITP) in Indonesia visited the S2BMRC scouting of new opportunities to collaborate.

The Indonesian Government took a new decision on University Business Strategies. All Universities have to closer cooperate with Industry, resources are substantially depending on the extend of UBC. Thus also ITP is looking for innovative approaches to connect with businesses and society. The knowledge base of the S2BMRC offers a perfect professional starting point for further development of ITP in the region.

The delegation consisted of Drs. Zulfa Eff Uli Ras - Supervisory Board; Mr. Hendri Nofrianto - Rector; Mr. Ade Indra - Vice Rector 2; Mr. Agus - Vice Rector 3; Dr. Firmansyah David – Professor.

The options and scope of collaboration include:

  • Staff exchange: S2BMRC will host staff from ITP and also send team member to Indonesia
  • Key note: Prof. Baaken will serve as key note speaker at the UBC Conference in Padang in July 2018
  • Applications: ITP and S2BMRC will strive for research applications to analyse the market for UBC potential in the region of Padang and Indonesia
  • Conference: Checking the potential of linking the S2BM-Conference to the ITP conference in 2018
