It is with great sadness and consternation that today we learned of the sudden death of Janusz Teczke. The news is a great shock and we send our sympathies to his family and his team at the University of Economics in Krakow. We cannot take away your pain, however please accept our heartfelt condolences .The S2BMRC owes much to Professor Janusz Teczke. He has provided valuable advice and support since the beginning of our Research Center, and has always been there when he we needed him. He has personally looked after and accompanied me in my Habilitation in 2010 and we have also worked together for many years coordinating the partnership between our university and the University of Economics in Krakow. His contribution to our centre was such that in December 2015, he was honored with an Adjunct Fellowship position. We are most grateful to him. We mourn for a genuine, humble and helpful human being as well as a thoroughly professional colleague. Janusz was always open to new ideas and initiatives, dealt constructively with challenges at all times and, through his joie de vivre, positively influenced the positive and vibrant mood in our Center in Münster. We valued him far beyond work we did together and were personally connected in close friendship. We will miss him very much.
