 Short bio
Carina Alfert joined the Science-to-Business Marketing Research Centre as a research associate in March 2018. She graduated in International Marketing and Sales at Münster University of Applied Sciences with her thesis focus on Open Service Innovation. 
  
Before starting an academic career, Carina co-founded a young e-commerce company, where she continues to be responsible for marketing and business development. This enables Carina to look at things not only from an academic, but also from an entrepreneurial perspective. 
  
Combining her entrepreneurial orientation, her regional and family-business background, Carina is passionate about small and medium-sized enterprises and the development of SMEs in times of dynamic and volatile developments. In her PhD, Carina focuses on Corporate Venturing to contribute research to the field of Corporate Entrepreneurship & Innovation.
